Walter & Brenda
Argentine tango dancers, teachers, and choreographers, with more than 20 years dedicated to performance, teaching, and the promotion of this traditional dance. We have built an extensive career both in Argentina and across Europe.
In recent years, we have focused on producing performances in which tango takes center stage, conveying its essence and emotion to the audience.
For the past seven years, we have been based in Tenerife, where we have actively participated in festivals and performances, as well as taught classes, workshops, and seminars throughout Europe, sharing our passion for tango in every place we visit.
Career in Buenos Aires
In our hometown, we taught at renowned institutions such as the Escuela Mundial de Tango, Salón Canning, Club Sunderland, and Gricel, among others. We have performed at venues including La Baldosa, Salón Canning (Parakultural), Club Gricel, Sunderland, La Ideal, and Sin Rumbo.
Recently, we were part of the festival “Tango Esencia”, organized by Francisco Forquera and Daiana Pujol, whose gala took place at the Teatro Metropolitan, one of the most iconic venues on Avenida Corrientes.
Our professional training includes outstanding teachers and dancers such as Toto Faraldo, Osvaldo Cartery and Coca Cartery, Miguel Ángel Zotto, Lorena Ermocida, Gabriel Angio and Natalia Games, Gabriel Misse, Analia Centurión, Leandro Oliver, Laila Rezk, and Verónica Salmerón, among others.
Career in Tenerife, Canary Islands
Since 2016, we have been based in Tenerife, where we have established our work as teachers and performers. We have organized classes and seminars at Ele Estudio, taught at the “Akasa” studio (La Laguna), and participated in festivals such as “Descubriendo Tangos” (2019).
Our performances include appearances at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor de Arona, Teatro Leal, Puertito de Güímar, Milonga El Embrujo, Milonga Baobab, and Hotel Marte.
Since 2021, we have been regular dancers on the TV program Noche de Taifas (TV Canarias) and with the Orquesta Rumores de Milonga.
We have directed and produced original works such as “Caminito” Tango Show (premiered in 2021 at Teatro Unión Tejina) and “Historias de Tango Show” (premiered in 2022 at Sala Timanfaya), and we are producers of the show “Alma & Pasión”, a meeting of tango and bolero.
Currently, we teach regular classes in social tango (tango pista) and choreographic tango at the Hotel Precise Resort in Puerto de la Cruz. We also organize the tango practice La Porteñita, and this year we launched Tenerife Tango Escape, a boutique tango festival set against the Atlantic Ocean, black-sand beaches, and Mount Teide as natural backdrops.
