SILVIA LEZCANO

With 31 years of professional experience on stage and in teaching, her art and pedagogy have been presented at internationally renowned festivals and institutions.
Silvia is a versatile performing artist with a multidisciplinary background. She was born in Chaco, Argentina, in 1975. She began studying classical dance at the age of five and, falling in love with the art form, knew from an early age that she would become a dancer. At nine, she performed her first leading role, an experience that strengthened her confidence in her path.
At 18, she left her hometown and moved to Buenos Aires to study at the IUNA (National University Institute of the Arts), while also training with various teachers in dance and physical theatre. As a contemporary dancer, she toured Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico, absorbing new styles, and her artistic search eventually brought her to Spain in 2002. She settled in Barcelona, where she continues to train, perform, and teach.
In parallel, her yoga training began in 1998. She has maintained a rigorous and continuous practice and study of yoga alongside teachers who have accompanied her journey, strengthening her discipline and love for this science. For 27 years, Silvia has deepened her practice and study with dedication and consistency, later transmitting these philosophical foundations through her artistic creations.
Her performances are characterized by a poetic language and an approach free from convention, which underpins her choreographic concept. She interweaves contemporary dance techniques (influenced by both American and European currents) with folkloric styles such as tango, oriental dance, and physical theatre, infusing her choreography with a distinctive and meaningful movement vocabulary.
Her ART has been presented on stages in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Costa Rica, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany, Arab countries, Japan, and Spain. Notable venues include the Opéra Garnier in Paris, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, the General San Martín Municipal Theatre in Buenos Aires, the National Theatre of San José in Costa Rica, the Teatre Grec in Barcelona, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Mercat de les Flors, Teatro Principal in Zaragoza, and Teatro de Madrid, La Cuarta Pared, among others.
Together with Orlando “Coco” Díaz, she taught Argentine tango at the Argentine Embassy in Paris for four years. She was also co-organizer of the Tango World Championship in Paris and co-founder of the Costa Brava International Tango Festival in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. She has created several tango productions, including Ensueño Tango and BCN Capital Tango.
She is co-founder of Yoga Indra, a Yoga and Art center based within the Barcelona City Council, where she currently teaches classes and training programs.
She currently collaborates with Giovanni Corral in tango and is simultaneously creating and developing a solo dance-theatre piece.
GIOVANNI CORRAL:
Trained in Sports Science (INEF) from 2001 to 2004, and in Tango Dance since 2007. He has been a member of the Tango Amado Company since 2013.
His teachers include Jorge Udrisard, Jorge Pahl, Verónica Palacios, and Omar Quiroga.
He has performed at Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Teatro Corso in Venice, Auditori de la Sagrada Familia, and Auditori L’Avenc. He has also appeared on television in Toni Rovira’s program, and performed on various stages alongside Silvia Lezcano, with a notable appearance at the Petit Palau de la Música.
Corral’s dancing stands out for the depth of his step, his strong stage presence, and the magical aura his interpretation leaves behind. Today, he is considered a reference dancer in the Catalan tango scene.

“PURA MAGIA”
Together, Silvia Lezcano and Giovanni Corral create a magical scene filled with raw arrabal spirit and charm, where the roots of milonguero tango intertwine with stage dance. Through a poetic artistic expression, “feeling from heart to heart” emerges—where TWO become ONE, and TANGO COMES TO LIFE.
